Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in education has encouraged higher education institutions to implement Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support teaching and learning activities. Moodle is one of the most widely used LMS platforms due to its flexibility, open-source nature, and adaptability to various learning needs. This study aims to describe the development of Moodle-based courses and quizzes for the English Education Study Program, particularly for first- and third-semester students. This study employs a qualitative approach with a development research design. The development process focuses on structuring online courses, organizing learning materials, and designing quizzes as assessment tools within the Moodle platform. Data were collected through observation of the LMS development process, documentation of course and quiz features, and analysis of learning needs in the English Education context. The results indicate that the developed Moodle-based courses and quizzes provide a structured and interactive learning environment that supports student engagement and independent learning. Additionally, the LMS facilitates lecturers in managing instructional materials and conducting online assessments more efficiently. Therefore, this Moodle-based LMS development is expected to contribute to improving the quality of digital learning in the English Education Study Program.
